Daniel Bernasconi

Dan worked at McLaren Formula 1 for six years, leading their Vehicle Modelling team, before swapping fast cars for fast boats. He now works in Valencia as a yacht designer, specialising in hydrodynamic design and performance optimisation, most recently in the 32nd America's Cup for Team Alinghi.

Dan developed a dynamic velocity prediction program for Vestas SailRocket 1 to help understand stability issues, and to validate Malcolm's own performace prediction work. However, because of his busy schedule with the America's Cup, he's been unable to contribute much to the design of VSR2 - except for giving his opinion on the colour scheme.

So why's he still on the website? Well, he designed and maintains it, so it's hard to get rid of him.
