Helena Darvelid

Helena has had a long and distinguished career also sailing on the fastest boats in the world. She has been onboard with the likes of Steve Fossett, Brian Thompson and Tracy Edwards netting 12 World speed sailing records. Helena was co-skipper on Maiden II (110' cat) when it in 2002 set 4 world records including the 24hr world record.

Paul and Helena met on Maiden and when the sailing stopped they began building Vestas SailRocket together. Twenty months later they are ready to go sailing for a record of their own. Helena will be the back-up pilot.
