Riding the Rocket. Passenger perspective at 100kmh.

Hi people here is the video from our 100kmh ride the other day on VESTAS Sailrocket 2.
Adam thought he was just in for a nice, easy jolly down the course... which is why he takes so long to absorb the number on the GPS at the end.

Right now we are getting ready to go sailing today. We have substituted in the 'old school' subcavitating foil to see what we can max it out at. I suspect it will need some fences to stop ventilation but we will start with the basic shape.
We discovered some small cracks in the high speed ventilating foil and want to make some mods and carry out some further load testing before we attempt to take it to 60 knots. If we break it, we don't have another one. We are pretty sure it is OK but want to be totally sure.
Enjoy the video... we enjoyed making it!
Cheers, Paul
Adams Reaction...

Great read and video of the last speeds run. Many thanks to Helena and team putting it together. The look of dumbfound on Adam's not-so-dumb-looking face was worth watching multiple times.
Great good luck completing repairs and giving hell to the Luderitz free-fall crew.
Best to Team VSR2!

Shame the beam got busted today, perhaps things were going a bit too well. Even so, we know you are the team to fix it.

Absolutely awesome

The look on Adam's face when he read the screen and then said nothing was priceless... and then the look on your face Larso when you realized this bloke on his first ride has been on the fastest run you have ever done (no offence Adam but that was pretty arsey) was even more priceless. Wow... i think that video clip has done the best job yet of giving us armschair observers a real sense of the speeds, loads, and action on board Sailrocket 2. Thank you for making it. Lets face it, you just broke the speed limit on the Bruce Highway with a similar number of potholes, so you are cranking..
