WRA4 RUN 12 INTO THE TWILIGHT
Wed, 28 Oct 09 18:13
The rig is up again, and the sun is down. We are hoping we might just get that one awesome gust, just 20 seconds is all we want.
We will again comment when the run is over.

Last Run
Submitted by Teena on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 11:47.Hi Team Sailrocket,
I really hope that the Wind Gods came through for that last launch....alternatively I am with Macca's idea (largely out of a sense of history as opposed to realistic plan of attack) CHEERS :)
Best wishes from the Red Centre
Staying On
Submitted by stevewint on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 07:25.No wind forcast for at least a week / 10 days! You need to find a way to extend. Idea of donations a good one?
Staying on options...
Submitted by Paul on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 10:22.Hi all, I will do an update of our position later in the day as this is officially our last day. It doesn't look like it is going to blow... but as usual... we will make the most of all any opportunity.
It is starting to sink in a bit now... the reality that we didn't quite make it.
I have to sit back and look at all our options without emotion. We will go forward... about that there is no question...
This project will go forward until we are the fastest in the world.
More to follow.
Thanks for all your comments... they were all being read out to me over the VHF between runs yesterday.
Cheers, Paul.
Alcoholic illusions
Submitted by Macca on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 01:31.Lars,
Through lack of any understanding of your craft, I have failed to offer you any advise over this last month. However, alcohol persuasion or illusions, I can cover quite well. It's simple, get the Observer tanked at the Yacht Club tonight, turn his clock back and earn yourself another day. It's gotta be done.

Buying time
Submitted by Martin Hadley on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 01:16.Just had another thought (bananas are very heathy, but slow up your thinking)...what if your supporters around the globe donated $100 or so each, could the observer be funded to stay a few more days?
If you had a bank a/c # in Oz or UK that we could netbank the money to would it help?
Cheers

Bananas crossed
Submitted by Martin Hadley on Wed, 10/28/2009 - 22:00.Fingers, legs, everything crossed for you from all us banana benders up here in Cairns.....and thanks so much for the fantastic updates, that jammed accelerator saga had me gasping...
...OK, all you thousands of supporters around the globe, lets whistle up the wind!
Cheers
Mart
U know what
Submitted by nicolas on Wed, 10/28/2009 - 18:59.Just give you 5 other days or somthing (if you can) to wait for that sweet spot of 25-26 knots of wind.
To show what the Rocket has in her stomach.
Do it for you guys and girls and also for the fans...
Even if it's not official.

Over and out
Submitted by Helena on Wed, 10/28/2009 - 18:23.Only about 20 knots of wind for that run, getting dark quickly here so we are packing up. More news from base as soon as we are back. Thank you for all your comments, they have all been relayed to Paul between runs.
